Moving to China

I really like LA, the weather, driving...but I recently decided to move to China.
Friends' opinions are mixed. Some say it's growing while others think that the potential is overstated, especially for more progressive designs...I guess I will find out.

Hideki Seo...Antwerp Royal Academy 2005 Show

This is one of the more extreme stuff I have seen in a while. I don't know if all the pieces are wearable, but Hideki Seo's graduation collection from Antwerp in 2005 is sure interesting.

And here's his collection Poyon Poyon from 2004, models are carrying a giant puffy baby:

The influence from anime and cartoon is clear.

Too bad he didn't make his own collection after he graduated, but worked for Azzadine Alaia instead. Collections without commercial pressure are sure more interesting...that's why Antwerp graduation shows are always fun to watch.

Zero1 Magazine
